Burnbrae Farms has been proudly Canadian and family-owned since 1891. Today we’re a 6th-generation family business and we take pride in providing quality eggs and egg products. Whether it’s through grocery stores, restaurants, hospitals or care facilities, we’re here to nourish Canadians with Eggs for Life!®.
We’re committed to supporting the healthcare segment by offering affordable, nutritious egg solutions while upholding high standards of animal welfare and environmental sustainability. We’re also thrilled to be certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE).
Our History
Our story began in 1891 when Joseph Hudson, newly arrived from Scotland, purchased a 100-acre farm in Lyn, Ontario, and named it Burnbrae, a nod to the “stream” (burn) and “hillside” (brae) surrounding the land. Fast forward over 130 years, and Burnbrae Farms remains in the Hudson family with businesses far and wide across Canada.
Today, our eggs and egg products reach homes, care facilities, hospitals, restaurants and foodservice operations across Canada. Despite our growth, we remain true to our roots, combining modern innovation with a steadfast commitment to taste, nutrition, and serving our communities.
